Poetry Monday - Glass

Procrastinating Donkey provides a topic for Poetry Monday. We may do as we like with it.  After posting our thoughts about the topic on our own blog, we are invited to leave a comment/link on Procrastinating Donkey's blog.  And there the whole world will find it and read it and praise it.  👏

The letters are from an embroidery pattern site and given a glassy effect with Inkscape.

I am able to shatter glass when singing some high notes. To hear my song you may have refresh the browser or use the pop out.  Beware! I may shatter your eardrums.

I never knew what blogging was all about
I never realized what I was missing out
All I know is that I fell in love with it
And if all my dreams come true
I'll be spending more time doing it

Every day's a new day I love to write
With each day comes a new way of how I write
Everyday I read your blog my mind feels such bliss
And if all my dreams come true
I will always be a doing this

I love it more today than yesterday
But not as much as tomorrow
I love it more today than yesterday
But no not as much as tomorrow

    1. Thank you!
      Can't sing. Can't write. Can't do graphics.
But if I put a bit of each in a blog post ... it doesn't come out lookin' too bad. lol

I know I have visited your blog before or maybe saw it on Good Reads.

      Can't remember very well either.

    1. I will give up and out before I get my "True Blogger" certificate.
I need to go back and read some of your early posts. Those posts where you only got 3 or 4 comments. LOL

  3. Lovely, Merry Mae! Did you sing professionally at some point? You have a delightful voice.

I found the follow button - right in front of my face, lol - maybe there's something wrong with MY glasses :)

    1. No! Definitely not professional. Just sitting here by my lonesome with a microphone. Of course I did sing in the church choir in my misguided youth. lol

Oh and thanks for cleaning your glasses. :)

    1. I only do basic things with the Inkscape graphics program. But still fun.
I didn't realize how OLD the Spinners group was. I honestly could not name one current group.

    1. Thank you!! Your comments make me feel good.
      We can't connect with everyone.
But when I write something that strikes an emotion in another, I am happy.

Is thinking an emotion? I don't know. Never tried it.

    1. Singing is just a part of me. And that is what blogging is intended for. To share about yourself No matter if is sounds good or not so good.

We can't be who we aren't.
      Thanks!
